5 Mac Apps I Couldn’t Live Without…

I just made the switch to a Mac – and can’t believe I didn’t do it sooner.  Here are a few apps that will make life more productive and fun for you (if you’re like me):

Parallels: The ability to run Windows from the Mac desktop is what sold me on the switch.  Now I can access the (few) programs that are better on Windows: Quicken and Quickbooks.  They work just as well and its really streamlined my workflow.

Coda: Previously I would have a SSH file transfer, an SSH terminal, Dreamweaver and hope to remember my site settings.  Coda does all of that, all in one.  Its incredible and worth the $100!

iMovie: I can’t get over how easy it is to upload clips from my Flip camera, edit it in iMovie and set it to music.  I’ve already done a few movies and its easy, fast and tons of fun.

DashBoard: To be able to access weather, sports news, flight arrivals, a calculator and times around the world of interest to me with one button.. Priceless.

1Password: This program is essential.  It stores every password to every site in one database and works in Safari, Firefox, you name it.  I don’t know how I lived without it!
