Like many others today, I eagerly awaited the 10AM announcement and watched multiple “live blogs” as the event took place. My takeaways: the iPad is underwhelming but may be a good start towards a product we’ll all be using regularly someday.

We spent my birthday, August 22, in Rhodes, Greece. A great town that is easily walkable, we spent the day at the beach and doing some minor shopping (by our standards):
Our summer cruise took us to Athens as our second stop. There we hired a driver to take us to some of the most notable places. Thanks to his help we saw much of Athens, in only 8 hours. Here are some notable shots:
